I am working on similar issue for one of my client. When they come to me for possible solution I wasn't aware if this issue so after researching on the topic found this post in GP community.
I am working on small product and posting a solution here to overcome this issue via small customization. This is in a chunk file form but I am planning to also do the same in VSTools for those who prefer to have dlls and not chunk files. This will work for only Fabrikam, Inc company with "sa" user.
Those who wants to try the solution can download and verify the working.
drill down chunk
Just add this chunk inside your GP folder. Add the code by login to Dynamics GP with "sa" user. Use drill down and see if inquiry window gets pop or not. If solutions works fine for you, you can purchase it from me.
